Margaret E. (Meg) Mann, BA, JD, MSA

 

Margaret has worked in leadership development education in Europe since 1995, with wide experience in both the private and public sectors. Several of her recent projects include a coaching assignment with one of Europe’s top telecommunications companies, a long-term personal effectiveness program for one of the world’s largest shipping companies, and on-going leadership development programs for a prominent management consulting firm and other international business clients.  

 

From 1995 – 2001 Margaret co-developed and delivered management and leadership training programs in Eastern Europe and Russia for the accounting and consulting firm KPMG on topics including client relations, time management and delegation, conflict resolution, teamwork and coaching, interviewing skills, case analysis, business writing, and business ethics. Since 1999 she has lived in Belgium, where she has delivered training courses at the European Commission and the European Parliament. Margaret is a senior faculty member and executive coach for Lore International Institute. Margaret is also on the faculty of the Solvay Business School at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Boston University Graduate Center in Brussels.

 

Before shifting her professional focus to leadership development, Margaret practiced law for 14 years in the United States. She was then invited to join the upper management of a health-care company where she worked as in-house counsel and director of human resources. She left that position in 1994 when she moved to Slovakia in Eastern Europe to serve as the American Bar Association’s liaison in Bratislava, working with Slovak ministries, the national parliament, and local judges and attorneys to assist in the establishment of the rule of law.

 

Margaret holds her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in Florida; an M.S. in Administration from Boston University Graduate Center in Brussels, Belgium; and a B.A. from Florida State University. She is qualified in the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and has also completed the accredited program and hours required for the Professional Coach Certification (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation. Margaret is fluent in English and conversant in Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, and Slovak.

Mark A. Brown, BA, MA, MBA

 

Mark is a university professor, a management and leadership trainer and an executive coach.  Based in Brussels, Belgium, Mark has worked in leadership development education throughout Europe since 1995 with broad experience in both the private and public sectors. 

After receiving a BA in Journalism from the University of Florida he served for four years in the United States Army. In 1990 he earned an MA in Economics and International Relations from the Nitze School (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins in Washington, DC. Mark then began work as a financial analyst at the world headquarters of Exxon Corporation. In June 2000 Mark received an MBA with honours with a concentration in European affairs from the Solvay Business School in Brussels, Belgium.

From 1995 through 2001 he and Margaret Mann designed and delivered management and leadership courses in Eastern Europe and Russia for KPMG.  Since 2001 Mark has led management and leadership courses at the European Commission in Brussels, the European Parliament in Luxembourg, and at OHIM in Alicante, Spain.

As a member of the training faculty for Lore International Institute, Mark has delivered leadership and management skills training courses to large multinational companies and consulting firms. Mark teaches graduate business courses at the Solvay Business School of the Université Libre de Bruxelles and at the Boston University Graduate Center in Brussels. A native of the US, Mark has also lived and worked in Argentina, Brazil, Slovakia, Portugal and Belgium.  He is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and conversant in French and Slovak.

Kevin Cottam

 

Kevin's hero in life is Mahatma Gandhi, who said, 'Be the Change you wish to see in the World'.  

Kevin has been referred to as a Renaissance man who has reinvented/recombined his life every ten years, relocated to thirteen cities in seven countries and three continents, and devoted his life to Elite Performance and Pursuit of Excellence. In the past, he has been a champion figure skater, figure skating choreographer/trainer to National, World and Olympic Champions and competitors, an award winning dance filmmaker, contemporary dancer, and director of Opening and Closing Ceremonies of large sporting events.

Today, Kevin is devoting himself to giving in another way - Life Balance Coaching. His passion for excellence in people is his life's destiny and Coaching is what honors his spirit.   A spiritual person, Kevin combines his philosophies, past knowledge with other philosophies of life, life coaching techniques and NLP.  He works with people from all walks of life who are seeking changes, transitions, solutions and inner power. Currently, Kevin lives and works in Brussels, Belgium while working with international clients, creating workshops on Presentation skills, Resolutions, Life/Work Balance and Creativity, as well as coaching/teaching at the Solvay Business School MBA program. Kevin can be contacted directly at Kevin@coaching4lifebalance.com
